Biography

The Story So Far.

From challenging beginnings to a pastoral renaissance on the Oregon-Idaho border.

The Call

Patrick J. Dailey didn’t come to ministry through a simple straight line. He journeyed through challenging church environments, a school ministry role in Honolulu, Hawaii, and a season of significant academic and personal growth — all of which forged a pastor who understands both the struggle to believe and the beauty of belonging.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Biblical Studies from Hope International University, and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity at Methodist Theological School in Ohio — on a full-tuition scholarship — while serving full-time as Senior Pastor.

The Church

Since joining Ontario Community Church — a historic Japanese-American congregation founded in 1945 in Ontario, Oregon — Patrick has led a pastoral renaissance. Under his leadership, OCC has seen 13.1% year-over-year attendance growth, a 26% increase in giving, and a renewed sense of multi-generational mission.

He leads through his signature OIA (Observation, Interpretation, Application) sermon methodology, the 3E Pathway (Encourage, Equip, Engage), and a 4H Identity framework — discipleship structures that are as theologically rigorous as they are practically accessible.

The Scholar

Patrick’s academic work is gaining national recognition. He has been accepted to present at the 2026 Baylor Symposium on Faith & Culture, focusing on AI, technology, and the human person — positioning him at the intersection of pastoral ministry and emerging public theology. He has been featured in MTSO’s flagship publication, The Story (Fall 2025), and his scholarship consistently explores the boundaries between evangelical faith and contemporary life.

The Family

Patrick is married to Amber, who serves as Children’s Ministry Director at OCC with a heart for every child and family that walks through the doors. Together they have five children — Aaron, Hunter, Garrett, Auriella, and Amelia — and make their home in Fruitland, Idaho, just across the Oregon border.

The Daileys share a conviction that the church must be a place of genuine welcome — where every person, regardless of background or story, can encounter the grace of God and find a community that walks alongside them.

Theological Identity

Balancing Grace & Truth
in a Post-Christian Age

Grace & Truth

Patrick believes the church must hold both in tension — never compromising the truth of God’s Word, and never withholding the grace of God’s love. One without the other distorts the gospel.

Post-Partisan Bridge-Builder

Ministry that refuses to be co-opted by political tribalism. Patrick builds bridges across denominations, traditions, and divides — committed to the Kingdom of God above every earthly party or ideology.

Word, Context & Canon

Every text is read in its context, connected within the whole of Scripture, and applied as a call to respond to God. The goal is not information — it is transformation.
