Naturopathic medicine can empower your journey. Understand how imbalances can affect fertility and learn ways that naturopathic medicine can improve fertility outcomes. [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Speaker Bio: [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Dr. Shama Patel Dr. Shama Patel is a highly-regarded, compassionate expert in naturopathic fertility and root cause/functional medicine. She created Atlanta’s first and only naturopathic program for fertility and subfertility care. Over time in practice with her patients, Dr. Patel realized that only focusing on the physical side, such as lab results and discussing daily activities, left many underlying root causes of disease in place. In many patients’ cases, it is not just black-and-white lab numbers or their diet log that will uncover root causes but rather the emotional and spiritual issues that can be difficult to talk about. A very unique aspect of working with Dr. Patel, for those clients ready and open to it, is her willingness to address other obstacles of health such as chronic stress, toxic relationships, a difficult break-up, previous trauma, or spiritual disconnection. Dr. Patel’s goal is to create a safe space that gives patients the courage to work on their mind and spirit along with addressing their physical health.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

Growing up in Tallahassee, FL with a passion for helping others, she initially pursued a pre-med track at Furman University to follow in her father’s career footsteps. However, a personal health diagnosis led her to discover the transformative effects of acupuncture. Intrigued by this experience, Dr. Fiedler redirected her path, earning a psychology degree before pursuing a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine along with a Masters in Acupuncture. In 2018, Dr. Sarah Fiedler opened up North Florida Naturopathic with her husband, Dr. Teegan Fiedler DC, ND, in her hometown of Tallahassee. Dr. Fiedler's expertise spans individualized nutrition, acupuncture, supplementation, homeopathy, iodine therapy and herbal medicine. Dr. Fiedler uses vitalistic naturopathic modalities to treat autoimmune conditions, thyroid disorders, infertility and women's health. Revée Barbour, ND, MS (NUNM) Revée Barbour, ND MS, affectionately known as “Dr. Ray”, began her journey as a healer while growing up in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her first exposure to healing was from her elders and parents who used natural home remedies (folk medicine) as their family’s medicine. This was used for most complaints and minor illnesses. Dr. Ray learned at a young age that the body can heal itself with the healing power of nature. From there, she knew her destiny was to become a doctor. Dr. Ray received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, a Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research, and a certificate in Natural Childbirth from the National University of Natural Medicine. In the last decade, Dr. Ray has successfully treated hundreds of patients in her award-winning naturopathic medical practice and continues to provide bicoastal primary care in New Hampshire and California as a licensed telehealth physician. As a leading voice in her field, Dr. Ray has partnered with national wellness brands such as Rae Wellness and NakedPoppy to collaborate on natural wellness initiatives. Dr. Ray has also been a featured expert in publications that include Sacramento Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, MindBodyGreen, The Vitamin Shoppe, Forbes Health, and Rainbow Light Vitamins. Because doctors need to play too, Dr. Ray enjoys having fun adventures with her family, gourmet cooking, gardening, nature hikes, travel, and the creative arts. Dr. Ray is also passionate about community-centered wellness education, African indigenous medicine, and spiritual healing practices. Grace Chang, ND, LAc (Bastyr) Dr. Grace Chang (she/her) is passionate about elevating integrative healthcare. Trained in both western and eastern medicine, she empowers her patients by establishing back-to-basics foundations of health. Dr. Chang’s assessments are in-depth, blending evidence-based medicine, natural modalities, and functional medicine testing. Her clinical interests include: dermatological conditions, hormone imbalances (thyroid, PMS, menopause), menstrual disorders, digestive concerns, and sexual health. With a specialty in natural aesthetics, Dr. Chang utilizes the Fotona® laser, hormone pellet therapy, regenerative injections for vaginal rejuvenation (V-shot / O-shot) and musculoskeletal pain relief. Born and raised in sunny California, Dr. Chang spent her childhood running around her parent’s restaurant. At an early age, Dr. Chang discovered her father’s medical condition was not being treated due to a language barrier with his doctor. Her involvement with translating and strengthening the patient-doctor relationship led her pursuit to become a physician. Dr. Chang received her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis. Diving further into holistic internal medicine, she earned a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Master in Acupuncture and East Asian Herbal Medicine at Bastyr University. She then completed a 2-year CNME accredited residency at Natural Medicine of Seattle. Dr. Chang is a member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians. Outside of medicine, you can find Dr. Chang spending time with her husband, daughter and baby boy outdoors, singing karaoke, and doting over her rabbit, Chibi.
